Family Friendly

In addition to the markets being a wonderful place to purchase locally-grown nutritious foods, peruse hand-crafted items, and support our local farmers and entrepreneurs, we want these markets to be an experience for the whole family to enjoy. We will have live music at most markets (Thursdays and Saturdays). We also have a lot of fun kid’s activities planned, and would love to see more! We would love to grow the market by adding family-friendly activities and live music, especially at the Saturday markets. Local businesses and organizations, please consider helping our markets, and gaining exposure for yourself, by providing kids’ activities, craft projects, storytelling, demos, or any other hands-on activities. Please reach out to chamber@newulm.com or 507-233-4300 if you would like to get involved by adding! We will publish the list of activities planned each week here on this website (www.newulm.com/farmersmarket) – scroll down.

Sugar Shanty

Sugar Shanty will be entering its 7th year as a vendor at the Farmers Market!  From over 50 flavors of jams and jellies, to nearly 60 varieties of what we call “canned goods,” we take our homegrown produce a step further and strive to provide you with a delicious, ready to eat, finished product.  We pride ourselves in using the traditional “old fashioned” methods when canning our products and are strong believers in that being the reason our customers keep coming back!  Alongside our amazing display of canned goods, you will find the staple of Sugar Shanty – our maple syrup.  As many of you know, the sap for our maple syrup is collected and cooked just outside of New Ulm, along the shores of the Minnesota River, at what was once known as Reim’s Camp.  As with our traditional canned goods, we also pride ourselves in carrying on the 80-year tradition of making maple syrup at Reim’s Camp and are confident, if you haven’t tried our syrup yet, you will be a customer for life, once you do!  On Saturdays, our oldest son, Kyzer, will also be selling lemonade, so be sure to swing by and support the 2nd generation of Sugar Shanty!

Woof’em Down Bakery
https://woofemdownbakery.com
507-995-6936 | woofemdownbakery23@gmail.com

Woof’em Down Bakery was created in the late winter, early spring of 2023. Our business is a combination of my love of baking and a love for dogs. We had a Yorkie-Poo, and later in his life, he developed renal issues. The food from the vet was so unappealing, as were any treats out on the market. We began researching ways to create healthy food and treats for him at home. With the natural ingredients used in our treats, including spent grains from Schell’s Brewery and honey from Gardner Bees, we created treats for all dogs with better flavor and healthier quality.

Zeitgeist Gifting

612-242-8567 | sales@zeitgeistgifting.com

Hi, I’m Allie. The concept for Zeitgeist Gifting was born out of the idea that while the last few years have been difficult, it has been a beautiful catalyst for change and creation for many, myself included. I’ve discovered along the way so many wonderful makers in our community and wanted to bring together a collection of thoughtful, handmade products from earnest companies to showcase the best spirit of the times. These items have come together in themed gift boxes great for a wide variety of interests. Along the way, I also discovered a love for creating jewelry and accessories from polymer clay and a bit of an obsession with baking scones as well! I hope you (or whoever you are gifting them to) enjoy the end product. Thank you for being open to the unexpected.
