Dedicated on October 13, 2022, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in New Ulm’s German Park honors six local men who gave their lives in service during the Vietnam War. Six granite benches, each engraved with a fallen soldier’s name, surround two 6 × 3-foot Mesabi granite slabs that symbolize both strength and sacrifice. The memorial offers a peaceful place for reflection and remembrance amid the beauty of the park.
