Grand Opening at the CTE Center

Recently, New Ulm Public Schools had a Grand Opening of the ISD 88 Career Tech Education Center (CTE Center) “We are happy to showcase what the kids are doing,” said Jeff Bertrang, NUPS Superintendent. The large facility has space and the tools to do welding, small gas engine repair, cabinet, carpentry work and many other Industrial Tech needs. In addition, the center has traditional looking instruction rooms for lectures.  Junior and Senior high students currently are shuttled from the High School to the center for morning and afternoon block learning. The advanced programs allow them to earn certificates and credentials. Eagle Enterprises also operates at the center to give instruction on a variety of business ventures from culinary arts, plant design and graphic arts. They have the opportunity to learn the entire process of producing products or services and how to do the finance aspect as well. The facility is in the former Windings location at 208 North Valley Street. Congratulations to ISD 88 on this giant step forward for our local workforce development solutions!
