The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce recently visited dsm-firmenich to welcome their new Site Director, Angela Iwanski. 

Angela grew up in Northfield, and began her career at Malt-O-Meal, where she worked for 10 years. Over the years, Angela’s career has taken her across the country in leadership roles for major food brands including Clif Bar, Weaver Popcorn, Ventura Foods, and Kraft Heinz. After more than a decade away, she and her husband decided to move back home to be closer to family, and she joined dsm-firmenich in July. Now living in Mankato, she enjoys visiting her family regularly and says it feels great to be back in Minnesota.

Angela shared that her favorite part of the job is the people — she values the close-knit team at the New Ulm facility and is focused on building engagement and connection among staff. dsm-firmenich is a global company specializing in nutrition, health, and beauty through flavor, fragrance, and ingredient innovation. The New Ulm site, the company’s only Minnesota location, employs about 125 people and includes departments such as taste, texture, health, blending, spray drying, warehouse, quality, and maintenance.
