The Minnesota Twins are once again celebrating cultural traditions throughout the 2025 season with their popular Heritage Nights—and we’re thrilled to share that New Ulm has been invited back for German Heritage Night! Last year was such a success, the Twins couldn’t wait to have us return.
Mark your calendars for Friday, September 12 as the Twins take on the Arizona Diamondbacks at 7:10 p.m. at Target Field. Come experience the energy, pride, and deep-rooted traditions of German culture—New Ulm style.
Pre-Game Fun at Gate 6 – Starts at 5:10 p.m.
Meet us outside Gate 6 for a lively New Ulm-hosted pre-party! This mini-fest runs from gate opening until first pitch. Join us for live music, photo ops, and the infamous Hermann the German and with The Narren.
Celebrate New Ulm On the Field
- Territory Flag Raising
- First Pitch: New Ulm’s own Hermann the German will toss the honorary first pitch to Brian Raabe—a New Ulm native and former Minnesota Twins infielder who made his MLB debut in 1995.
- 7th Inning Stretch: Get on your feet as The Narren and Hermann bring the party to the stadium during the 7th inning stretch—live and on the jumbotron!
New Ulm on the Big Screen
Throughout the night, look for special video footage showcasing New Ulm’s charm and vibrant German culture on the jumbotron. We hope the announcers give New Ulm some love during the broadcast too!
Plus—it’s the perfect lead-in to Oktoberfest in New Ulm, happening just a few weeks later (Oct. 3–4 & 10–11). Let’s fill Target Field with German pride and invite the whole state to experience it for themselves in New Ulm this fall.

Stein Pick-up Information
You’ll pick up your exclusive item on the day of the game (only) at Target Field Station, located around the corner from Gate 6 at the Northwest Corner of Target Field (near 5th Street and the light-rail).
The city of New Ulm, the most German city in America, has planned extra festivities at Gate 6 to celebrate the state’s German heritage. A valid ticket purchased through this special ticket package must be presented in order for you to receive your exclusive item.
Pick up will begin at 5:10 p.m. and run through 7:10 p.m.
