The Willkommen Committee recently stopped by Tavern 507 to celebrate the opening of this new restaurant, located inside the Best Western Plus. Previously Green Mill, the restaurant transitioned to Tavern 507 after the ownership group, Bird Dog Hospitality, bought out of the franchise and completed a remodel. The result is a fresh new space with a sports bar vibe – complete with lots of TVs, a menu full of burgers and appetizers, and a casual, welcoming atmosphere.
General Manager Bethany Scott started as a server/bartender three years ago at Green Mill and was promoted to Sales & Catering Manager for the New Ulm Conference Center last year. She now oversees both the restaurant and the event center and is proud of the returning staff – most of the Green Mill team came back and a few even helped with painting and remodeling, giving them a sense of ownership in the new space.
Tavern 507 also offers a special Game Day menu for traveling youth sports teams staying at the hotel or playing in local tournaments – a great option for groups needing a convenient team meal between games. Hours are Mon–Thurs 4–10, Fri 4–11, and Sat–Sun 11–11. A Sunday brunch menu is coming soon!
