The Willkommen Committee recently visited New Ulm Bus Lines to celebrate their recent remodeling which involved a break room, main office, and an additional office. They are continuing to update the outbuildings gradually.

The New Ulm Bus Lines (NUBL) is a family business started in 1986.  Damion Bennett, president, started his career at their Morgan facility and moved to the New Ulm facility about 10 years ago.  Joseph Rakowski is the General Manager, who started around two years ago.

The NUBL do approximately 20 regular routes, 15 special needs routes and lots of activity transportation.  In New Ulm they have four office staff and seven employees between their two shops in town.  They have approximately 47 drivers.  They have offices in 14 districts around Southern MN and one in Iowa.  The buses stay in the communities they serve but usually come to the New Ulm shop if they need repairs.

They have a need for drivers (particularly for activities), and they provide the training and testing (need a Class B license).  NUBL recently received grants for stop arms and security cameras to improve safety on their buses.

They are located at 1400 S Minnesota Street.  To learn more, call them at 507-354-4711.  Thank you, New Ulm Bus Lines, for your continued investment in the New Ulm Area.
