The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated a ribbon cutting at the Christmas Haus in downtown New Ulm. Mayor Kathleen Backer was on hand to officiate the ceremony, along with owner Lindsy Henn and her family. The Christmas Haus recently opened in May of this year, replacing retired owners Cindy and Al Stabenow of the Guten Tag Haus. The Christmas Haus will continue to sell imported German items, but plans to offer imported Scandinavian items as well. With such a large variety of imported items, the Christmas Haus has something for everyone, including steins, hats, pins, cuckoo clocks, archways, kitchen items, hunting and fishing knives, as well as a large selection of felt items and vinyl rugs. Lindsy Henn is no stranger to the downtown area, she also opened MN EIS in the summer of 2020, and now has a second location in Sippets Coffee & Bagels shop, located at 701 N German Street. For Christmas all year round, you need not look any further, visit Lindsy and her wonderful staff at 127 North Minnesota Street, or visit thechristmashausnewulm.com to shop online.
