The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed New Ulm’s Own into their new space at 212 N. Minnesota Street. New Ulm’s Own is a Fair Trade and Art store and is home to many hand-crafted items including baskets, wall art, jewelry, spices, pottery, chocolates, books and more. The products come from local artisans and marginalized craftsperson’s from around the world. New Ulm’s Own is a non-profit, and proceeds from the store are donated to local charities, such as NUMAS Haus and Ivy House.  New Ulm’s Own didn’t move far – they are now in the front of the same building, in the space formally occupied by Nadelkunst. New Ulm’s Own is an all-volunteer organization with 501 (c)(3) status, and 16 volunteers.  Visit their new location or call 507-354-3458 for more information. Congratulations on the new space!
