New Ulm Summer Survival Guide
Dance with a gnome in New Ulm

Ever find yourself saying:

“I wonder if anything fun is happening this weekend?”

“How far away is that outdoor waterpark?”

“It’s raining, what should I do with the kids today?”

A local New Ulm organization has taken the guesswork out of your endless google searches! MOPS & MOMSnext New Ulm, a local moms-only non-profit group has created the Ultimate Summer Survival Guide. This 7 page PDF (available here) is organized by activity type, complete with travel time, and addresses of attractions allowing you to easily plan your summer outing. You won’t miss out on any local fairs or fireworks as there is an entire page dedicated to local events organized by date.

MOPS & MOMSnext – New Ulm created this comprehensive list to simplify summer planning for moms to keep these months stress-free and fun! This MOPS International local chapter is all about supporting moms throughout all of the different stages motherhood brings. They provide connection and content for moms to flourish. This local group also does service projects within New Ulm each year.

MOPS & MOMSnext meets three times a month during the school year, allowing moms to get a break and fuel up. Childcare is provided so moms can connect and focus while their kids play. During the summer, MOPS partners with ECFE to bring summer playdates for moms to connect (check out page 6 on the PDF) and host a few Saturday playdates centered around the New Ulm Farmers Market. When you check out the MOPS & MOMSnext New Ulm Facebook page you’ll also see the clickable calendar pinned at the top with all local events listed in one place.

This group “values and welcomes every mom, no matter where she has been, what she has done, or how she is choosing to live her life. They reach out to include believers and nonbelievers in our gatherings regardless of race, cultural group, socioeconomic, or marital status. Through the actions and words of true friendship, [they] build communities that encourage one another.”
