Congratulations to the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation Scholarship Recipients!

The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation is pleased to award eight $500 scholarships to New Ulm area graduates: Adasyn (Addy) Fairbairn, Addison Rustin, Amber Toltzman, Annie Edwards, Brianna Beranek, Jayce Seifert, Kallie Olson, and Laura Bertrang. 

Addy Fairbairn is a graduate from New Ulm High School and plans to attend North Dakota State University pursuing a degree in Architecture and Interior Design or Nursing.

Addison Rustin is a graduate from New Ulm High School and plans on attending the University of North Dakota pursuing a degree in Atmospheric Science. 

Amber Toltzman is a graduate of Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School and plans to attend South Central College followed by Bethany Lutheran College pursuing a degree in Business. 

Annie Edwards is a graduate of Cathedral High School and plans to attend St. Scholastica to pursue a degree in Nursing. 

Brianna Beranek is a graduate of Cathedral High School and plans to attend South Dakota State University pursuing a degree in Business. 

Jayce Seifert is a graduate of New Ulm High School and plans to attend Southeast Technical College pursuing a degree in Public Service. 

Kallie Olson is a graduate of Cathedral High School and plans to attend South Dakota State University pursuing a degree in Nursing. 

Laura Bertrang is a graduate of New Ulm High School and plans to attend the University of Wisconsin pursuing a degree in Business. 

These eight are the second set of recipients ever to receive a scholarship from the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which was founded in 2020. The funds for this scholarship come from these Community Investor members of the Chamber: 3M, Citizens Bank Minnesota, Walmart, and Weelborg Chevrolet. The scholarships were offered for area youth to pursue further education beyond high school, to include but not limited to trade school, junior college, certificate programs, and universities. This scholarship is designed for high school graduates to provide financial assistance as they pursue skills training or degree curriculum, with an emphasis on business, hospitality, or trades.
