Welcome New Chamber Members, Tallgrass Cider!

The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed our new Chamber member, Tallgrass Cider.  John and Brooke Knisley purchased their farm in 2011 near Madelia, Minnesota, and what started out as a couple of friends and family getting together in the fall, pressing apples, playing music and enjoying each other’s company, blossomed into something more significant.  Tallgrass Cider began producing cider in 2020, and is now home to over 50 varieties of apples.  With family at the center of Brooke and John’s adventure, their brother-in-law’s and now business associates, Andy and Taylor, help pick, bottle, and distribute the organically grown cider to over 15 locations in southern Minnesota.  Tallgrass Cider is looking to expand in the future, and hopes to open a tap room at some point, so customers can taste and see first-hand how this wonderfully organic product is made.

With several products to choose from, you can enjoy them right here in New Ulm at the B & L Bar, The Retz 227, Lola’s or the Liquor Mart.  Check out their website at tallgrasscider.com.
