The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Joel Braun, the new owner of Joni’s Restaurant & Catering at 24 N Minnesota St.  Joel says he doesn’t plan to change the menu much, but will add one of his favorites, a “Philly Cheese Steak”.  He also plans to add a walk-up window so customers can order from the street, plus night-time hours on the weekends to capture the vibrant night life in Downtown New Ulm.  Joel spent 13 years at the Lamplighter prior taking over the business on September 1^st of this year.  Along with his two daughters, JoeI says he has a network of family and friends to help with the new adventure.  Joni Ahlness, the prior owner, will remain on the staff.  So next time you are in the area, stop by for some awesome food and congratulate Joel!
