New Ulm Business Resource and Innovation Center (NUBRIC), formally known as the New Ulm Economic Development Corporation named a new director. The Willkommen committee recently met with Director Paul Wessel at the Chamber. Wessel has a long list of ideas he wants to implement.  He is excited about developing and growing New Ulm.  NUBRIC is looking at becoming a 501(c)3 to allow for pursuing grant opportunities.  NUBRIC is a private nonprofit whose mission is to promote the city and facilitate economic growth by providing resources to attract and stimulate business expansion.  Wessel is proud of New Ulm’s heritage and has developed an advisory board of industry leaders that came from New Ulm to advise on growth of the community.  He has plans for several programs to help entrepreneurs.  “We have an awful lot of reasons to be proud in New Ulm, ” said Wessel.
