Chamber Welcomes NUMAS

The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes new member NUMAS Haus. Executive Director Karla Diehn and Case Manager Hailey Hulke are the leaders at NUMAS Haus and say they had not realized all the great benefits at the Chamber. NUMAS Haus provides emergency shelter and support services to homeless women and their children primarily in the the Brown County, Minnesota area. NUMAS Haus families can stay at our emergency shelter for up to 90 days. NUMAS Haus families will work with the shelter staff to establish current and future goals that the family is required to work on in order to obtain long-term, stable housing by the end of their stay at NUMAS Haus. Families must complete three classes: RentWise, Love and Logic, and Nutrition to help them. Since 2016 NUMAS Haus has helped 60 families.
