Welcome the new Sales & Catering Director at Best Western Plus, Shelby Siderewicz!

Best Western Plus

The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce got to meet the new Sales & Catering Director at the New Ulm Conference Center-Green Mill-Best Western Plus! Shelby Siderewicz made the move to New Ulm from Omaha, Nebraska after COVID took away her dream job at the Ralston Arena in Omaha. There, Shelby was the Events Manager for the arena that accommodates 3,000 people! Shelby chose New Ulm for its small-town attitude but big event feel. Shelby informed the committee that, right now, around 15 weddings are planned for the Conference Center between June and November! She looks forward to working with the upcoming brides without the restrictions that were set in place before. As you can imagine, Shelby finds her job much easier without COVID restrictions and getting to explain to wedding parties what an amazing menu they have, versus the COVID rules and regulations. It is her mission, as well as Best Western’s mission, to keep guests safe but still have a good time. Shelby attended Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska where they did not have a hospitality major so she kind of made her own! She graduated with an Arts & Business management major and a minor in mass communication! Congratulations and welcome to New Ulm Shelby!
