New Executive Director at the Lind House!
Lind House new manager

Kathy Covington recently moved out of her position on the Lind House Board to the role of the Executive Director of the Lind House! The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped in to congratulate her! Kathy is a New Ulm native. She has also been the owner of Earthen Art here in New Ulm for the last 17 years. The Lind House has been sustainable due to memberships and donations. She expressed how the Lind House is in need of a big project – a new roof. Because the house is considered a historic home, cedar shakes need to be replaced, which is a big expense. To pay for this expense, grants are being written and donations accepted. The Lind House sees a lot of groups rent it out for bridal and baby showers, some family reunions or holiday gatherings. The cost to rent the Lind House is $135/members and $180/non-members. This price includes use of the kitchen and linen rental. The Lind House holds historical tours in the summer almost daily from 1-4 and on the weekends in September and October. Congratulations, Kathy, on your new position!
