There’s a new face in the President’s seat at Citizens Bank Minnesota and the Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped to meet him! Mark Denn is now the new President/Chief Executive Officer for Citizens Bank Minnesota, which is headquartered in New Ulm. Mark went to school in Madelia, MN and has 2 children. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Morris and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Mark had numerous good things to say about the staff of the bank. They work hard and are enthusiastic about their jobs. He went on to explain how it was actually an employee that gave them the idea for their tag line “WooHoo” Checking; an employee who simply said “woohoo” a lot so they trade marked it! Citizens Bank Minnesota has just under 100 employees with more starting soon. Some of the employees are reaching 50 years of service and will soon be retiring, bringing more new faces to the bank, as well as more opportunities for the younger employees to move up.
