The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped at 1227 North Broadway and celebrated new business and chamber member, Cala Contemporary Woodwork! Husband and wife duo, Harold and Jayme Enamorado started a family business after their son found some wood and Harold made a beautiful piece of furniture out of it! He pushed his talents further and tried selling the piece online and to his surprise, the piece sold after just 2 hours! They originally started Cala out of their home in Mound, MN but did not get the type of support they needed from the community. After moving to New Ulm, Jayme explained how everything started clicking. Word of mouth spread and soon they were off and running. Now with their new showroom located on North Broadway (in the New Ulm Real Estate Office building), they get to have their home and garage back! Jayme is originally from New Ulm and Harold was born and raised in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He grew up around his father’s furniture business and later graduated from the Universidad Latina in Costa Rica. Harold mills salvaged trees from local sources which are then kiln-dried to ensure quality. Congratulations and welcome to New Ulm, Cala Contemporary Woodwork!
