The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped at 27 South Minnesota Street to welcome new owners Amanda & Craig “Bill” Hacker and The Backerei & Coffee Shop as new chamber members! It was Amanda’s dream to own her own bakery. News came by word of mouth that Jerry & Cindy Hauser were potentially looking for someone to take over their iconic bakery. This opportunity was not to pass Amanda and her husband Bill by, they both leapt at the opportunity. Leaving their long term careers at Windings, Amanda & Bill began their journey by first learning how to bake. The Hacker’s have 3 children, ranging from 3 years old to 7th grade. Congratulations, Amanda & Craig!
