New Ulm’s Oktoberfest Receives National Recognition

Oktoberfest at Schells

New Ulm is known for its German heritage, so it makes sense that an Oktoberfest celebration there pulls out all the stops!  Our festival takes place in not just one location, but at 4 main locations (Downtown, Best Western Plus/Green Mill, Morgan Creek Vineyards, and Schell’s Brewery), with other activities and events happening all over town!

New Ulm’s Oktoberfest has been getting quite a bit of attention the last several years, and this year is no exception!  Here are some of the articles and recognition, just in the last two months!

Another reason New Ulm’s Oktoberfest is so fun to attend is that the city is a tourist destination with many attractions and things to do on a normal day.  That means you’ll have to plan your time carefully if you want to experience all that the town has to offer.  See the list of attractions with open hours at the bottom of this Oktoberfest webpage, and click on the attraction webpage to learn more about each of the historical and cultural attractions available here.
