The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed Chris Dalton to his new position as the City Manager of New Ulm, which he started in April! Chris joked that he made it through his first Minnesota winter; he even went out and shoveled in shorts a few times! He came to New Ulm from Southern California upon taking on the role of Assistant City Manager/Economic Development Director in April of 2018. He would like to see our community grow. He spoke a bit about low-income or workforce housing that he would like to see improve and grow, as the younger generations who are in entry-level positions or just starting out their adult lives are the future of New Ulm.  Chris sees this as a good way to get more people in town, on their feet and eventually out of apartments and into their own homes. Chris is happy to be in and a part of the community and is looking forward to the future of New Ulm. Congratulations, Chris!
