Dave Borchert New Ulm Police

The Willkommen Committee welcomed Police Chief Dave Borchert as a new member of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce! Borchert has 20 years of experience in law enforcement. He started his career as a patrol officer for 6 years, then was promoted to investigative work. He explained that he’d like to work more closely with local businesses in regards to security and asset protection. He’s also looking to provide more services for businesses and the aging population. He is forming an ad hoc committee to focus on transportation issues – anyone interested in joining should reach out to Chief Borchert at 507-233-6750.  The public is also invited to attend one of their “Coffee With A Cop” events, which is an informal way to meet with our local law enforcement.  The New Ulm Police Department employs 22 sworn officers, 2 full-time administrative assistants, 2 part-time parking enforcement officers, and 1 part-time administrative assistant. Thank you for your service and welcome, Police Chief Borchert!
