Bruce McKirdy is the new General Manager at Radio Mankato, and the Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce met with him to congratulate him.  They also wanted to learn more about the format change for 100.5 FM.  Bruce has been in radio for 35 years.  He knew he wanted to be in radio from a young age, and got his first radio job at 19.  He most recently was in Alexandria before accepting the position at Radio Mankato.  Bruce described the format change of 100.5 to the committee.  Previous broadcasting as Oldies 100.5, Bruce explained that the market for the “oldies” genre was decreasing.  The newly launched Magic 100.5 appeals to a larger audience, and broadcasts classic hits from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s.  Congratulations Radio Mankato, and welcome Bruce!
