The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped at the The Grand Center for Arts & Culture to check out their recent remodeling of the third floor apartment and the basement area. Anne Makepeace, The Grand’s Executive Director, explained how the building was previously owned by her great-great-grandfather. There are 2 rooms for artists to stay on the second floor, as well as one on the third floor. A newly remodeled apartment on the third floor is now available to rent on Airbnb. The apartment has a complete kitchen, living space with sofa bed, bedroom with queen size bed and a larger bathroom. In the basement, Anne is preparing for a printing space, complete with type setting and printing presses for posters and even film. A grand opening is planned for early May. Congratulations on the growing of The Grand Center for Arts & Culture!
