The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped at the Brown County Historical Society to welcome Ryan Harren as the museum’s new curator! A 2011 graduate of Minnesota State University-Mankato with a master’s degree in history, Ryan is from Rice, MN, and has previously worked at other county museums including ones in Rochester, Steele & Olmstead Counties. As the curator, Ryan chooses, assembles and disassembles the 3D museum collection; basically anything not printed or photographed. A few things Ryan has in store at the museum include getting more seasonal exhibits on display and will be a part of putting together a large, first floor exhibit for 2020. Stop by to see his newest exhibit “A History of Brown County’s Hair-itage.” Welcome to New Ulm, Ryan!
