Welcome to New Ulm Monument Company, the newest member of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce!  The Willkommen committee recently stopped by to meet manager Elise Edwards-Toepel and to learn more about the business.  Elise has been manager for one year, taking over when the previous manager Chuck Gappa retired after 35 years.  Elise, an Elysian native, is a licensed funeral director and worked in that profession for 5 years.  Helping grieving families is her passion, but after 5 years as a funeral director, she felt that job wasn’t the right fit, and she’s thrilled that she is still able to follow her passion in her new role at New Ulm Monument Company.  Elise is also a certified celebrant and is starting to do more with grief counseling as well.  New Ulm Monument Company was established in 1933 and is a branch of Sunburst Memorials, which is based in St. Cloud.  Welcome!
