The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce met two new employees at the New Ulm Medical Center: Michael Grand and Dr. Andrew Reeves.  Michael Grand began at NUMC in January as the Director of Finance, which is a new position. The work he is doing was previously being done by several NUMC employees, and Michael was brought in to assist this and help with strategy.  Originally from St. Cloud, Michael attended St. Thomas University for both his undergrad and MBA degrees. He has been with Allina for 5 years, working as a business, strategy and operations consultant.  He lives in Minneapolis and is now working 2 days in New Ulm and 3 days in Minneapolis each week.  Dr. Andrew Reeves is the new neurologist at NUMC.  He began working in neurology in the mid-1990’s and has worked in Mankato for the past 14 years.  Dr. Reeves’ sub-specialty is in epilepsy and seizures, and he says he is loving working in New Ulm.  He commented that NUMC must be doing something right because the turn-over for employees is “shockingly low.” Welcome to both Michael Grand and Dr. Reeves!
