The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped by the New Ulm Medical Center recently to welcome new physicians: Dr. Brian Lovig, Dr. Anas Khanfar, and Dr. Victoria Wang.

Dr. Lovig was born in raised in Mantorville, MN, where he met and married his wife.  He attended the U of M Medical School and completed his residency in Mankato.  Dr. Lovig knew he wanted to practice family medicine in New Ulm – he liked the size of the town and says the longevity of the NUMC staff indicates a good work environment.  He and his wife have 2 kids, ages 5 and 2.

Dr. Khanfar was born in the country of Jordan and came to the states to “pursue the American Dream.”  He completed his residency and oncology fellowship in Texas from 2010-2016.  Dr. Khanfar’s wife and son currently reside in Ohio, but they will be moving to New Ulm next year when his wife, also a physician, joins the staff at New Ulm Medical Center.

Dr. Wang earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Yale University and her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed a residency at the University of Minnesota Hospitals in 1993.   She specializes in internal medicine and says, “I enjoy getting to know people over time, helping to support them during difficult times and celebrating with them during good times.”

Welcome to all three of you!
