New Chamber Member: New Ulm Steel Hockey
New Ulm Steel Hockey

There’s a new hockey team in town, and the Willkommen Committee stopped by to welcome them as new Chamber Members!  The New Ulm Steel are a Junior A hockey team, and they compete against other Junior A teams across the country.  The New Ulm Steel’s general manager is Bryant Black, who also owns the team with his father.  The team was based in White Bear Lake, but they have been wanting to relocate the team to New Ulm for the past 3 years.  Players are between the ages of 16-20 and are from all over the world, including Switzerland and Sweden!  Head Coach Jay Witte and Assistant Coach Andrew Kolb are training these young men to be role models first and good hockey players second.  They want to be active in the community, so let them know of any need for volunteer work.  Catch a game at the New Ulm Civic Center – tickets available at the door or at the New Ulm Chamber Office.
