The Willkommen Committee welcomed the new shelter coordinator for NUMAS Haus, Patti Paulson.  Patti comes to the project with much experience in the social services field and work in preventing domestic abuse through the CADA organization.  NUMAS Haus provides safe and temporary housing for homeless women and their children under the age of thirteen. The project came out of a need acknowledged by the New Ulm Ministerial Association and will be heavily staffed by volunteers to provide this opportunity for up to three families at a time. All of the construction and interior work on the home has been donated and two anonymous gifts of $50,000 were received to move the project from concept to reality.
