New Ulm Country Club
New Ulm sports one of the older golf courses in Minnesota and that means many, large, beautiful oak trees lining the 18-hole course. Enjoy a drink and fine meal afterward in their classy club house.
Concordia Lanes
Open bowling times abound at our modern, 16-lane bowling alley. Enjoy drinks and snacks afterward at the attached, Kegel Klub.
Flandrau Park
Bird watching, hiking trails, and a sand-bottomed swimming pool make this a year-round destination. Stay over at the camp grounds (full hook-up and rustic), including two camper cabins!
Tommy Guns Paint Wars
About 8 miles southeast of New Ulm, in a wooded valley, is a paint gun course that is really cool! Try it as a couple or create teams among your friends. With the proper safety equipment (available on site), it is a fun and fit way to enjoy an afternoon!
Vogel Fieldhouse & Recreation Center
This recreation center has something for everyone! The multi-purpose rubber floor provides a 3-lane walking track that goes around courts equipped for basketball, volleyball, tennis and open gym! You can also find raquetball and wallyball courts, along with a fitness center full of strength and cardio equipment. Change in the large locker rooms and go cool down in the indoor pool! This pool has a slide, climbing wall and hot tub!
Bike Path
With 7 miles of paved path and 6 miles of marked city streets, we can give you a 13-mile loop around town. No bike rental facilities yet, so you need to bring your own.
Fishing
Since we are located in two river valleys (the Minnesota and Cottonwood), it’s natural that fishing is good here. Catfish, sunfish, walleye and more are in abundance. Bring your own gear and dip right in!
Frisbee Golf
Is “real” golf not your thing? Try one of our two disc golf course and test your skill at this fun way to get some exercise. You will need to bring your own discs, but you could also buy one locally, if needed.
Running and Walking Races
Just like the national trend, New Ulm is host to several 5k and 10k run/walks throughout the year. Check the Community Calendar on this site for details of the next big race.
