A tradition for hospitality and dedicated sport associations, New Ulm is a successful host for sporting events!
Johnson Park and the adjacent Mueller Park, regularly handle multi-team, multi-state baseball tournaments in these excellent fields. North Park and Harman Parks are multi-field facilities for tourneys, typically for youth baseball or any-age softball teams. Baseball and softball tournaments are New Ulm’s greatest expertise!
A variety of space is available to hold basketball tournaments, including at the Recreation Center, the Armory and at various schools.
In the early 2000s, a new Civic Center was built in the County Fairgrounds in the middle of New Ulm. It has two complete ice arenas under one roof with great seating and club-house space. State-wide tournaments are regularly held here and the quality of the facility is one reason! Outdoor ice rinks can also be called into play for your tournament needs.
