The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome the new owners of Taco John’s, Jessica and Aaron Holthaus!

The Holthauses, who live in Monticello, own nine Taco John’s locations, including one in western Kansas. Having known the previous owners for years, they were excited for the opportunity to continue the strong foundation built here in New Ulm. During the transition, they retained nearly the entire staff and have since added new team members as the restaurant continues to grow. Robin Bergene was promoted to General Manager, and Owen Robinson has also stepped into a leadership role. With five children who grew up in their restaurants, Jessica and Aaron place a strong emphasis on mentorship and enjoy helping young staff develop important life and workplace skills.

Jessica visits the New Ulm location twice a week and often jumps in to help in the kitchen, while Aaron enjoys spending time in the dining room connecting with customers. Both are excited to become more involved in the New Ulm community and have already noted the strong sense of activity and community pride here.

Taco John’s, located at 1301 S Broadway, is open daily from 7am to 10pm, with hours extending to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays beginning January 1 (currently also open until 11pm on Thursdays).

The restaurant is currently running a mental health awareness charity campaign, a cause close to Jessica’s heart, and encourages the community to stop in and try their breakfast menu.
