The Willkommen Committee recently held a ribbon cutting at Madelia Health’s new clinic, located at 2700 S Broadway St, Suite 2, in New Ulm.

The clinic marks the organization’s fifth location and celebrates Madelia Health’s recent addition as a new member of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce. Madelia Health has been serving the region for more than 100 years and operates clinics in Truman, Lake Crystal, St. James, Madelia, and now New Ulm, expanding access to quality health care for area residents.

President and CEO David Walz spoke at the ribbon cutting, sharing that the new location allows patients who previously traveled 18 miles to Madelia to receive care closer to home, while also providing another health care option for the New Ulm community. The New Ulm clinic offers lab services, urinalysis, sports physicals, DOTs, urgent care, and full family practice. While some specialty services are not provided on-site, the clinic coordinates with its network of providers to ensure patients can receive the care they need, including ophthalmology, dermatology, orthopedics, and more.

Madelia Health employs approximately 180 caregivers across its locations and focuses on proactive, family-centered care. Staff shared that the culture, community focus, and opportunities to be involved locally make it a rewarding place to work.

The New Ulm location is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and has been well-received by its first patients.
