The Downtown Action Team, a committee of the Chamber and the Heart of New Ulm, is excited to bring the festive spirit to our beautiful town and create a joyful atmosphere for our residents and visitors.
The holiday season has officially arrived in New Ulm, and our local businesses are ready to shine! The 2025 Festive Facades Competition kicks off today, and the beautifully decorated storefronts around town are waiting for your vote.
From whimsical winter scenes to creative light displays, businesses across New Ulm have transformed their facades to bring festive cheer to shoppers, visitors, and families exploring our community this season. Grab a warm drink, stroll through town, and enjoy the sparkle — then help us choose this year’s top three winners!

Voting is officially open from November 28–January 1.
One vote per person, please.
The results and winners will be posted on social media along with photos of their displays on January 2nd.
Prizes
The three businesses receiving the most community votes will win:

The Downtown Action Team (DAT) promotes enhancement of the downtown vibrancy and innovation for the future desired by our residents while maintaining New Ulm’s charm and tradition. This friendly competition is a fun way for local businesses to share in a sense of community and help enhance the charm of our great town.
