The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce recently visited Drs. Akre & Clark Family Eye Health Care to welcome their new provider, Dr. Brynn Babey.

Originally from Saskatchewan, Canada, Dr. Babey attended optometry school in Southern California, where she met her boyfriend, who is from Stillwater, Minnesota. After several years in California, she was ready for a change of pace and wanted to live farther from city life. When she found this opportunity in New Ulm, it immediately felt like the right fit.

Three months in, she’s already enjoying both her work and the community. Dr. Babey provides comprehensive eye care and has a special interest in contact lenses, vision therapy, pediatrics, and ocular disease. Her passion for optometry began when she saw firsthand the impact it could have on patients’ lives—an experience made personal by her brother’s own need for specialty lenses.
