The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Rolling Thunder Wresting as a new member of the Chamber!

The youth wrestling association was founded in 1985. The club helps train young wrestlers before they join school programs, offering freestyle, folkstyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. Over the years, they’ve grown tremendously — and after starting fundraising for a new facility in 2020, they now have a fully remodeled space thanks to donated land and countless volunteer hours. The facility now includes two full mats, showers, and two bathrooms, with a 10-foot addition underway that will provide extra storage and a new workout area. The club also offers tumbling classes for ages 3–5, a Big Buddy program with high school wrestlers, summer camps, and special events featuring coaches from MSU and even the U of M Gophers.

Registration for the 2025-2026 season will take place on October 27 from 5:30–7 p.m. But if you can’t make it that evening, no problem – families are still encouraged to sign up! Simply contact the club directly and they’ll be happy to make arrangements. New wrestlers can even join mid-season. With over 100 wrestlers last year, Rolling Thunder continues to build confidence, skills, and teamwork in young athletes throughout the New Ulm area.
