The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting to welcome new Chamber member, The Accountant, LLC. 

Owned and operated by Betsy Bruske, The Accountant officially opened on June 1, 2025. Betsy brings over 10 years of experience from her work at Karla Havemeier’s office, where she specialized in lawful gambling, tax preparation, and more. Seeking a better work-life balance, she launched her own home-based business and now focuses primarily on lawful gambling reporting for non-profits – earning her the reputation of being a local “gambling guru.” She also provides payroll and bookkeeping services, along with business and farm tax returns.

A lifelong Hanska resident, Betsy has deep ties to her hometown community. She and her fiancé, Eric, are raising two sons – both active in football – and live on the same street where Betsy grew up. To promote her business, she connects with clients through social media, her website, and direct mailers.
