The Willkommen Committee recently welcomed Sarah Sveine as the new Tourism & Member Services Manager at the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce. Sarah is no stranger to New Ulm. Her previous work at the Brown County Historical Society deepened her knowledge of the community—especially the US-Dakota War—and strengthened her passion for sharing local stories. Originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Sarah grew up in Hutchinson, MN, and moved to New Ulm 11 years ago after meeting her husband, Steve, at Mankato State University.

In her role at the Chamber, Sarah manages nine social media channels, oversees marketing efforts and the website, attends conferences, and promotes New Ulm to both visitors and members. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys concerts, festivals, cooking, and smoking meats. She and Steve have two sons, Finn and Callum, and two cats, Hauenstein and Chimney Sweep. She also operates Teutonic Tales and Trails, a walking tour led by her father-in-law, Terry Sveine. Sarah is excited to take in more of New Ulm—and bring more to it—through her work at the Chamber.

To learn more about the Chamber of Commerce or to meet Sarah Sveine, stop by the Chamber Office at 1 N Minnesota St. You can also visit newulm.com or call (507) 233-4300.

Congratulations and welcome to Sarah!
