The Willkommen Committee recently held a ribbon cutting for Legacy BBQ as a new business and as a new Chamber Member! Owned by Mario Rivera and supported by his younger cousin, Jose, and longtime friend, Rex, Legacy BBQ is more than a food truck – it’s a dream in motion, built on family, flavor, and community.

Mario has been smoking meat since he was 12 years old, and that passion has grown into a thriving business offering classic BBQ favorites like pork, ribs, and brisket, along with kid-friendly appetizers like their mac attack, nachos, and walking tacos. Everything is smoked fresh on site in the truck, ensuring high-quality flavor with every bite.

Since launching in May 2025, Legacy BBQ has had great support from the community. You can catch them at several Chamber events this year, including Downtown Roll-in, Oktoberfest, and the Thursday Farmers Markets, as well as at other cities throughout the region.

With an eye on the future, the team is exploring winter service options and dreaming of a brick-and-mortar location complete with an indoor/outdoor playground. Family is at the heart of everything they do – and every customer is treated like part of it. To see where the food truck will be serving next, follow them on Facebook.

Congratulations, Legacy BBQ, and thank you for your investment in the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce!
