The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting to welcome Cottonwood Valley Nature Preschool as a new business and Chamber member! Founded and operated by Adrianna Evers, the preschool gives children ages 3 to 6 more time outdoors – helping them slow down, explore, and connect with the world around them. Adrianna has over a decade of licensed childcare experience and holds degrees in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education. She currently works as a special education teacher with New Ulm Public Schools. Located just outside of Courtland on Adrianna’s 12-acre property, the school has access to over 100 acres of woods, fields, and natural spaces. Classes are held outdoors! Children enjoy foraging, tracking, outdoor play, and discovery-based learning – all with a focus on developing emotional regulation, social skills, and curiosity. Adrianna is a certified nature-based educator through ERAFANS and offers seasonal sessions, with the next one running July 28 – August 7 for potty-trained children ages 3–6.
