Read on for more information about the adult Network New Ulm program, the youth Network New Ulm Youth program (for high school juniors and seniors), as well as a survey to see what types of leadership training are you most interested in having The Chamber provide in our community.
Network New Ulm
Established in 1997, Network New Ulm was developed to strengthen the quality of local leadership, which continues to be the key ingredient in giving the New Ulm area its well-earned reputation as an outstanding community. NNU seeks to build a stronger community by providing a diverse group of emerging and existing leaders with the opportunity to enhance their community knowledge, civic network, and leadership skills. Participants spend one day per month receiving professional development training, networking opportunities, and touring businesses, community assets, and local government.
The Chamber is currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 program, which runs Sept-May. Deadline to apply is July 31.
Our 2024-2025 year of participants recently graduated, and their testimonials about NNU can be found in the brochure. Whether new to the community or life-long residents, members have found the sessions informative, enjoyable and challenging. We are excited to be able to continue offering this opportunity to our Chamber members and look to you to help fill the 2025-26 class! We encourage you to give serious consideration to applying yourself or sponsoring an employee to attend the program. To get the most out of the program, participants should commit to attending all the monthly sessions that are listed in the brochure.
The day chairs plan an exciting and varied program, and all those in attendance are sure to learn a great deal about our community while networking with other business and area leaders. Please contact the Chamber Office at 507-233-4300 or chamber@newulm.com, or view the brochure, for more information on the program.
2025-2026 NNU Program – Sponsorships Available!
Network New Ulm will provide exposure to our local community through presentations, panels, tours, and more. We are seeking sponsors for the 2025-2026 program to be able to keep tuition cost from increasing, and to provide a better experience (transportation to keep the class together, etc). We encourage you to consider becoming a sponsor of the Network New Ulm Leadership Program. Sponsor businesses support this community-enriching program and make connections through long-lasting relationships with individuals that are dedicated to this community. Thank you for your support to better our community and our future leaders!
Congratulations to our Class of 2024-2025!

This program is brought to you by the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce. Thank you to our Community Investor Members for support of the Chamber’s Leadership Program: 3M, Citizens Bank MN, and Walmart. Network New Ulm Youth
Graduates from the first NNU class (1997-98) formed the Network New Ulm Alumni, whose primary purpose is the Network New Ulm Youth Leadership Program, which began in 2001. Juniors and Seniors from NUHS, CHS, MVL and ALC meet for seven sessions each year to increase community awareness and foster youth leaders.
Network New Ulm Youth participants will be able to tour different businesses and schools in our community. Some of the things our students experienced this last year were visiting a dairy farm, learning about New Ulm’s history, fun team building activities, participating in a mock trial, touring our law enforcement center, creating a radio commercial for NNUY, and much more!
Applications are available for 2025-2026 Juniors and Seniors. You can pick up an application at your high school or access it here. Students will be chosen from the applications and notified of their acceptance later this summer. NNUY is a wonderful experience, a great way to build leadership skills and learn more about the community that the students live in.
Applications are due by June 15, 2025!
