The Willkommen Committee recently visited Haynes Plumbing & Heating to welcome them as a new member of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce.  Jared Haynes, owner and operator, is a New Ulm native who has been in the plumbing industry since 2009.  He purchased the business from Fodness around 2021 and has been expanding the business since then.  Haynes offers any plumbing and HVAC services to residential, commercial, and farmers.  As Haynes puts it, if you have a need, “we’ll do it, we’re not afraid of anything.”  When asked if he had any advice for homeowners, he recommends adding a rider to your homeowners insurance for sewer/water/heater/etc., as well as doing a yearly check and clean service that can be very helpful to avoid any unexpected big costs for fixing equipment that breaks from neglect. The city/PUC has a rebate program to help offset that expense.  When Haynes come out to check your system, they always try to repair current units before they would recommend purchasing a new unit.  Haynes services the New Ulm/Sleepy Eye area but also does construction work farther out.
