There’s no better way to celebrate our community than by stepping out, getting active, and supporting the incredible local businesses that make our town unique. Our upcoming 10th Annual Poker Walk combines the fun of a card game with the benefits of movement—all while spotlighting the businesses that help our community thrive.
New this year! We’ve heard from businesses and participants that they would like to participate but cannot on Fridays. So, instead of doing these once a week on Fridays in June, we are switching it up and will be holding 3 poker walks during one week – June 11 – 13th, from 10am – 5pm.
What’s a Poker Walk?
Participants walk to various local businesses, collecting a playing card at each stop. At the end of the route, the best poker hands win prizes! But everyone walks away a winner—because you’ve supported local and taken a healthy step (literally!) toward wellness.

How to Play:
Goal: Have the best poker hand each day, interact with local businesses, get out and walk!
Get your cards: Daily from June 11th – 13th between 10 AM – 5 PM, 5 Daily participating businesses (1 card per business)
Submit your hand: Bring to the New Ulm Chamber office by 5 PM on the respective day.
How to Win:
- Daily:
- Best hand of the day: the back of each card in your hand must be the same color
- Submit a photo of you participating in the walk by emailing: wealth-management-solutions@ampf.com or tag #PokerWalkNewUlm on Facebook or Instagram
- Winner is randomly selected
- Grand Prize:
- Best hands from each week will be entered into a grand prize drawing worth more than $500+ from local businesses
