The Willkommen Committee recently visited NU Brew Café to welcome them as a new business and a new member of the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce!  NU Brew Café is the latest addition to Ulm Sweet Ulm, a community hub in the downtown.  NU Brew is a full-service coffee bar offering coffees, teas, frappes, smoothies, lotus drinks, and more.  They are following a Wanda Gag theme, celebrating the author by focusing on her books and featuring signature drinks – they even timed the opening of the café with the author’s birthday.  NU Brew focuses on quality, offering house-made syrups, Minnesota-roasted organic coffee beans, compostable cups/lids for sustainability, real-fruit smoothies, and the food items on the menu are provided by Gutes Essen.

The inspiration for the new addition to this “third space” was to provide a place where people can “gather around food and fire,” and a year into Ulm Sweet Ulm, founder Brie Taralson says they’re really “starting to see these connections happen.”  Along with being a bookstore and now a coffee shop, Ulm Sweet Ulm provides programming and events for the community.  Located at 203 N Minnesota St inside of Lykke Books, if you’re interested in learning more, visit http://www.ulmsweetulm.com or call (507) 276-8724.  Thank you, NU Brew Café, for your investment in New Ulm and for choosing to join the Chamber!
