The Willkommen Committee recently visited Applebee’s to welcome them back as returning Chamber members, and to welcome their new manager Sarah Thisius.  Sarah has worked at Applebee’s in a leadership role for over seven years.  She is originally from Wells and moved to Mankato in 5th grade.  Sarah was the assistant manager at the Mankato Applebee’s before she was asked to transfer to Albert Lea to help turn around that location.  She was there for three years before they asked her to help in New Ulm.  The New Ulm location has struggled with the road construction for a while, and they are “finally getting their groove back.”  Sarah says that the industry has changed since COVID, but she is proud of the team they have now. She is very happy to be a part of this “cool little town,” and wants to not only provide the hospitality and experience that guests deserve but to also help the town thrive.  Applebee’s has options to help others fundraise with events like Dining to Donate and Flapjack Fundraiser, or helping with marketing or even just offering coupons.
