The Willkommen Committee recently visited the New Ulm Chamber to welcome Elyza Moy and Mae Geidel as new managers. Elyza Moy is the Tourism and Member Services Manager, and Mae Geidel is the Business Services Manager.
Elyza is from a small town about five hours north of here. She got her degree in Business Administration – General Management from the University of St. Thomas before moving to New Ulm three years ago. Among other things, Elyza does advertising, social media, and graphic design in her role at the Chamber. She is learning lots and enjoys the events that the Chamber puts on, like Crazy Days and the Farmers Market, especially seeing how everyone who attends has a great time! Elyza joined the Chamber team in July 2024.
Mae is originally from Iowa and also moved to New Ulm three years ago. She has a background in hospitality; her most recent role was as the General Manager of the Best Western Plus in town. She manages administrative functions and finances and supports the Chamber’s members and programs. Mae is a proud mom to son Wyatt and cat Pumpkin, and she enjoys exploring the city and taking part in its many events and culture. Some of her favorite events include Puzzle Night, Spikin’ in the Street, and Oktoberfest.
