The Willkommen Committee recently visited with United Auto Station to celebrate their new Chamber membership. Darren Marquardt has been the owner for about five years, and he has been making improvements such as hiring mechanics to get the shop running again, updating the front area a little at a time, and bringing back the tow service. One of his priorities when purchasing the store was to ensure the full service option at the gas pumps continued, as many people use that option and this is the only full-service station in town. Customers just need to honk to bring someone out to fill their tank. There is no extra charge for that service, but many customers do tip. In the shop they change oil, work on tires, brakes, and air conditioning, and everything in between. Because of the shop, Darren is able to offer lower prices at the gas pumps. He says he is “doing what he can for the community.” And don’t forget their tow service – give them a call in the event that you need it.
Located at 626 N Minnesota Street, if you’re interested in learning more, visit the station or call (507) 354-2619. Thank you, United Auto Station, for your investment in New Ulm and for choosing to join the Chamber!
