The Willkommen Committee recently visited KNUJ to welcome their new General Manager Shannon Magers.  Shannon grew up in between Cambria and Judson, Minnesota.  She started working at Three Eagles Communication in Mankato approximately 14 years ago, an accidental transition into her radio career.  She began as a receptionist, became the office manager within a week, and went from there to regional business manager and then general manager.  When she was offered the job at KNUJ, she said “yes” immediately as her and her husband spend so much of their time in New Ulm to begin with.  The town “makes you feel like you’re at home,” according to Shannon.  She is enjoying her new role as it gets her away from tons of paperwork and gives her the opportunity to actually go out and be in the community where she can meet the people of New Ulm and get to know the town better.  Shannon has been at KNUJ since August of this year.
